The Tarmac Pro frameset features a FACT IS 10R carbon frame with a proprietary one-piece chainstay/bottom bracket, oversized BB30 bottom bracket, internally raised carbon fiber ribs at the bottom bracket and head tube, tapered head tube/steerer tube and hollow carbon fiber drop-outs and headset cups. Specialized adds a feathery 1495gram Roval Fusee SL wheelset with bullet-proof DT Swiss hub internals, Red or Dura-Ace components, a stiff Pro FACT carbon crankset, and smooth riding S-Works carbon handlebar. My scale indicates a sprightly 14.9 pounds for a 56cm spec'd with Red at $4200. Or, 15.0 pounds for a 56cm spec'd with Dura Ace at $4500. The 2011 Tarmac Pro is significantly improved over the 2010 model with no increase in price! How did Specialized achieve this?!

Cyclocross Practice Wednesday Sept 8 5:00pm
This Wednesday, the 8th of September, marks the first open practice session on the Northeast Velodrome and Cycling Park's cyclocross course. There have been a few changes made to the course, so come and try it out. $5.00 training fee and a signed waiver gets you in. Next Wednesday the 15th begins our training/race series. Look forward to seeing you out there!
